Vincent Robinson is a Professor and holds the Glen E. Garrison, M.D., Distinguished Chair in Cardiovascular Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia. He has been Co-Director of Nuclear Cardiology since 1994 and previously served as Chief of Cardiology Services at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia.
Dr. Robinson's research focuses on capacitance physiology, coronary flow reserve assessment in coronary artery disease, and clinical thromboembolism. His work includes the development of a novel "provoked" D-dimer test to enhance diagnostic accuracy and the study of myocardial function trajectories in young adults.
Recent publications highlight his expertise in cardiovascular physiology, thromboembolism risk stratification, and pandemic medicine. Key trends include longitudinal analysis of cardiac development, racial disparities in cardiovascular health, and applications of nuclear cardiology.
