Vincent Jones

Dr. Vincent Jones is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health and Human Performance at York College (CUNY), where he also serves as Director of the Health Promotion Center. He holds an EdD in Health Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, with additional graduate training in sociology and education policy.

Research examines health disparities affecting marginalized populations, including investigations into immigration status impacts on health information access, racial discrimination during COVID-19, LGBTQ+ safe space preservation, and electronic dating violence prevention. Methodologies include content analysis, survey research, and community-based participatory approaches.

Administrative leadership includes program coordination for Health Promotion Management and undergraduate fieldwork programs. Funded research projects include studies on prolonged grief disorder therapeutics and dating app safety for minorities. Teaching encompasses undergraduate courses in health behavior modification, HIV/AIDS epidemiology, and community health.
