Vincent Florens is an Associate Professor at the University of Pau and the Pays de l'Adour, specializing in low-dimensional topology and knot theory. He coordinates research in geometric analysis and mentors graduate students in advanced mathematical applications.
His research explores fundamental questions in knot theory, 4-manifold topology, and braid group representations. Current projects investigate topological invariants of complex surfaces and their applications in geometric modeling.
Florens has supervised six doctoral students on topics ranging from homological invariants to computational topology. His international collaborations include symplectic geometry research with institutions across Europe.
