Vincent FERNANDES

Vincent FERNANDES is a Doctoral student in Microbiology and Contract teacher at the Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA). He is affiliated with the Microorganisms Genome and Environment Laboratory within the Ecotoxicology Health team at the Cézeaux University Campus. His research focuses on developing omics-based approaches to assess pesticide exposure impacts on environmental organisms, particularly using volatolomics to identify biomarkers in model organisms like Paramecium tetraurelia, Apis mellifera, and Pseudomonas fluorescens.

He teaches courses in General microbiology, Microbial metabolism, Animal biology, and related biochemical disciplines. His work aligns with the CPER 'Symbiose' project, aiming to create toxicomic tools for monitoring pesticide effects across food production chains. Key research objectives include identifying volatile compound biomarkers and optimizing volatolomics for environmental sentinel organisms.
