معرفی
Dr. Vincent Drach is an Associate Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Plymouth, affiliated with the School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. He serves as the Academic Lead for High-Performance Computing and teaches courses such as Mathematical Programming, Foundations of Physics, Electrodynamics and Relativity, and Quantum Mechanics. His research focuses on lattice gauge theory, particle physics, and computational methods, with expertise in Wilson fermions, SU(N) models, and composite Higgs dynamics. Dr. Drach’s work emphasizes high-performance computing optimization and lattice simulations of fundamental flavor systems.
Research interests include theoretical physics, computational physics, and applications of lattice QCD to study gauge theories, symmetry breaking, and resonance phenomena. His studies span topics like SU(2) and SU(3) gauge theories, composite Higgs models, and Monte Carlo algorithm optimization for lattice simulations. He advises students on projects such as Path Integral formalism in classical/quantum physics and machine learning for time-series forecasting.
Dr. Drach leads the High-Performance Computing facility at Plymouth and collaborates on projects involving the European Twisted Mass Collaboration (ETMC). His work contributes to advancing computational methodologies and understanding non-perturbative aspects of quantum field theories.
