Vincent Chiang serves as Interim President of Franciscan Children's and Executive Vice President of Boston Children's Hospital while holding an academic position as Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School. His career has been deeply rooted at Boston Children's Hospital where he has held numerous leadership positions including Chief of CHIPS (Children's Hospital Inpatient Service), Chief of Inpatient Services for the Department of Medicine, and Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer since 2020.
Dr. Chiang received his undergraduate education at Harvard College and earned his MD from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1992. He completed his Pediatrics residency and Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital, establishing his long-term affiliation with the institution.
His research interests focus on pediatric emergency medicine, hospital medicine, quality improvement, and healthcare administration. He has made significant contributions to understanding asthma management, post-discharge care, healthcare costs, and patient safety in pediatric settings.
