Dr. Vincent Bizet is a CNRS Researcher at the University of Strasbourg, affiliated with the Laboratoire d’Innovation Moléculaire et Applications (LIMA) within the Biomolecules, Synthesis & Methods (BSM) research group. He holds a PhD from INSA Rouen (2009–2012) and completed postdoctoral research at RWTH Aachen University (Alexander von Humboldt fellowship) and Geneva University. In 2022, he obtained his habilitation (HDR) from the University of Strasbourg. His research focuses on developing synthetic methodologies, particularly transition metal-catalyzed transformations and fluorine chemistry. He is involved in training, conference organization, and serves on the Early Career Advisory Board for Tetrahedron journals. Teaching responsibilities include courses on Catalysis, Heterochemistry, and Fluorine Chemistry.
Key achievements include awards such as the 2022 Prix Guy Ourisson and the 2023 Thieme Chemistry Journals Award. His work spans over 44 publications, 4 book chapters, and has garnered over 1,500 citations with an H-index of 22. Research areas include pentafluorosulfanyl chemistry, ynamide reactivity, and catalytic processes. His lab, LIMA, emphasizes innovative synthetic strategies for biomolecules and functional materials.
