Viktor Leonidovych Greshta

Professor Viktor Leonidovych Greshta serves as both Rector of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University and Professor in the Department of Physical Materials Science within the Engineering and Physics School. He has been affiliated with the university since 1999 and holds the academic title of Professor with a Candidate of Technical Sciences degree.

Graduating from Zaporizhia State Technical University in 1996 with a specialty in 'Materials Science in Mechanical Engineering,' he defended his Candidate's thesis titled 'Structural nature of the tendency to deformation of sheet metal of ferritic corrosion-resistant steels' in 2004 at Zaporizhia National Technical University. His research spans materials science with particular expertise in gas turbine engineering, titanium products, and corrosion-resistant steels, resulting in over 50 scientific publications including 34 in professional journals and 6 indexed in Scopus.

Professor Greshta's scholarly work demonstrates consistent focus on material behavior under various conditions, with recent publications examining stress relief tempering effects, tribotechnical characteristics of coatings, and titanium deformation properties. His research bridges theoretical materials science with practical engineering applications.

He teaches courses in Physical properties and methods of their research, Materials science, and Heat treatment of metals, mentoring the next generation of materials scientists and engineers.
