Vikram Yadama

Dr. Vikram Yadama is the Louisiana Pacific Distinguished Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Washington State University (WSU) and Director of the Composite Materials and Engineering Center (CMEC). He also serves as the WSU Site Director of the Center for Bioplastics and Biocomposites. His research focuses on sustainable composite materials production using underutilized fiber resources like small-diameter timber and insect-damaged wood, emphasizing non-structural and structural applications. His work integrates mechanics of wood composites, modeling, and industrial outreach.

Dr. Yadama has published over 65 journal articles, book chapters, and proceedings, supported by grants from USDA NIFA, NSF, and USDA FS. He has collaborated with over 50 national and international companies, demonstrating strong industry engagement. His professional contributions include organizing/co-chairing 24 symposia and technical workshops since 2003.
