Vikas Chopra

Dr. Vikas Chopra holds the Charles Stewart Warren and Hildegard Warren Endowed Research Chair at Doheny Eye Centers-UCLA and serves as a Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles. He is a recognized expert in glaucoma surgical techniques, particularly Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) procedures, and specializes in high-resolution ocular imaging for early and precise glaucoma evaluation.

His research interests focus on developing new laser and surgical therapies for glaucoma and improving outcomes of complex combined cataract/glaucoma procedures. Analysis of his recent publications reveals consistent contributions to glaucoma diagnostics, surgical innovation, and treatment protocols, with particular emphasis on optical coherence tomography applications, MIGS outcomes, and combined surgical approaches.
