Dr. Vijaykumar Singh is a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Simon Fraser University (SFU), part of the Faculty of Science. He has been teaching at SFU since 2011, progressing from a sessional instructor to his current role. His expertise includes Algebraic Geometry, Mathematics Education, and Cryptography, particularly zero-knowledge proofs.
Education: Ph.D. in Mathematics (Algebraic Geometry) from University College Dublin (2011). Postdoctoral research at SFU, PIMS, UBC, and IITB.
Research & Teaching: Passionate about engaging diverse audiences in mathematics and promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in academia. Active in outreach initiatives to create inclusive environments.
Courses: Currently teaches MATH 254 D100 (Vector and Complex Analysis for Applied Sciences) in Summer 2025.
