Vijay T. John

Vijay T. John is a Professor and The Leo S. Weil Professor in Engineering at Tulane University’s School of Science & Engineering, Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering. He is based in the Lindy Boggs Building and teaches courses such as Applied Numerical Analysis and Reactor Design.

Recent work focuses on stimuli-responsive nanomaterials and biofilm formation in environmental applications.

Recent publications highlight advancements in CO2 capture, nanotube-based oil recovery, and amphiphilic polypeptoid design, with collaborations extending to Tulane Medical School and NIST. His lab utilizes a cryo-electron microscopy facility and emphasizes interdisciplinary training.
