Viivi Eskelinen is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Helsinki, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences and specializing in Sociology and Social Psychology. Her research focuses on intergroup relations, religiosity, and migration studies, particularly examining prejudice, minority rights, and societal integration.
Recent publications explore topics such as the link between religiosity and prejudice in Western societies, attitudes toward Muslims during the COVID-19 pandemic, and determinants of support for religious minority rights. Her work spans cross-cultural comparisons and theoretical models of immigrant integration.
She is currently involved in the project Designing Inclusive & Trustworthy Digital Public Services for Migrants in Finland, funded by the Strategic Research Council (2022-2025), and has participated in conferences like the European Association of Social Psychology's General Meeting.
