Victoria Eugenia Reyes Garcia

Victoria Eugenia Reyes Garcia is a Researcher at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and an ICREA Research staff member at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA-UAB). Her work spans Indigenous peoples, local ecological knowledge, and climate change impacts, with fieldwork focus on the Bolivian Amazon and global collaborations in Gabon, Inner Mongolia, and Mediterranean regions.

She holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Florida and a Master in Sustainable Development from IESA-CSIC. Her research projects include KEYSTONES (MSCA-funded) and ICCION, emphasizing cultural keystone species and indigenous data governance. Recent publications analyze crop diversity, pastoral knowledge systems, and wild food perceptions across continents.
