Victoria Buchsbaum

Victoria Buchsbaum is a Lecturer at TU Wien's Faculty of Informatics. She specializes in Security and Privacy, focusing on blockchain-oriented programming and cryptographic protocols. Currently on leave, her research involves formal methods for secure systems and layer-2 Bitcoin protocol development.

She has contributed to major projects such as the EU-funded Formal Methods for Secure Blockchain-Oriented Programming (2025–2030) and Ark, a novel Bitcoin layer-2 protocol developed with AKRLabs OÜ (2024–2025). Her work bridges theoretical foundations with practical implementations in distributed ledger technologies.
