Victor Stephane is an Associate Professor at the University Jean Monnet and part of the GATE-LSE research center. His work bridges Applied Microeconomics and Development Economics, with a focus on empirical policy evaluation.
- Ph.D. in Economics (2014-2018) and M.Res. in Economics (2013-2014) from University Clermont Auvergne
- French Qualification Exam for Maître de Conférences in 2019
His research explores urbanization, migration, social capital, and public policy impacts, using econometric modeling and fieldwork data. Recent publications include analyses of crime in urbanizing regions, social safety nets in Ethiopia, and immigration’s influence on electoral outcomes. Since 2023, he has led the Development Economics Workshop and contributed to academic governance via recruitment committees.
