Victor Shiramizu is a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Strathclyde since August 2022. He holds a PhD in Psychobiology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil, 2016). His research focuses on evolutionary psychology, prosocial behavior, behavioral endocrinology, and cross-cultural psychology with a strong emphasis on open science practices.

Research Interests: Explores how evolutionary principles shape human social behavior, including decision-making processes influenced by hormonal and environmental factors. Collaborations: Previously worked on ERC-funded 'How do Humans Recognise Kin?' (Glasgow) and EPSRC-funded 'Designing Conversational Assistants to Reduce Gender Bias' (Strathclyde). Current projects involve meta-analyses of sexual satisfaction and cross-cultural preference studies.
Teaching: Specializes in research methods, data analysis, and psychobiology modules.
