Victor Andrade

Victor Andrade is an Associate Professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in the Department of Engineering Technology and Didactics Production, Transportation and Planning. His research focuses on sustainable transportation systems, urban mobility solutions, and transport infrastructure governance. He leads or co-leads several projects, including the Green Mobility Shift (GMS) initiative promoting eco-friendly transport policies and the Ebusradar project tracking electric bus adoption in Latin America. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to sustainable cities and communities.

Key research areas include electric vehicle strategies, cycle logistics, and performance accountability in infrastructure projects. He has supervised PhD student Joseph Sekasi in analyzing African transport megaprojects. His interdisciplinary approach addresses both technical and socio-economic dimensions of mobility, with notable contributions to urban planning in historic centers like Rio de Janeiro and comparative studies between Brazil and Germany.
