Vicki Hanson is a Distinguished Professor at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) within the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. She is a renowned expert in human-computer interaction, focusing on accessibility and inclusive technologies for older adults and people with disabilities. In 2016, she was elected president of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), leading the first all-female executive committee.
Research Interests: Dr. Hanson's work bridges technology and inclusivity, addressing challenges in assistive technology, educational technologies, and accessibility for underserved communities. Her leadership extends to advocating for diversity in computing through initiatives like ACM-W Europe.
