Vicki Bell is a part-time Instructor of Music Theory at Asbury University's Music Department since 1993. She coordinates music theory courses, teaches sight singing/aural training, and previously directed the Asbury University Chorale. Her research focuses on 16th-century sacred choral music dissonance and 19th-century American Shaker song notation.
- Education: Ph.D. in Music (University of Kentucky, 1998)
Research highlights include Vatican Library studies on Palestrina's Pope Marcellus Mass and participation in the Tallis Scholars Summer School. She led international choral tours to Europe, featuring performances in St. Peter’s Basilica and Sistine Chapel venues. Bell initiated Asbury’s Pipe Organ Performance Series and directs ECCO, a chamber choir of alumni. She holds memberships in the Society for Music Theory, American Choral Directors Association, and American Guild of Organists.
