Veverly Edwards is an Assistant Professor of Teaching in the Department of English at the University of Memphis. She teaches creative writing and African American literature while maintaining a parallel practice as a graphic artist. Her interdisciplinary work bridges literary expression and visual art, with participation in exhibitions at Beale Street Art Crawl, Arkwings, and Crosstown Arts.
Her publications encompass creative nonfiction exploring regional identity ('My Memphis, My Home', 2023), spiritual resilience ('On More than Conquering', forthcoming), and memoir ('God’s Miracle Among Corruption in Idaho', 2014). Her research interests center on narrative forms that intersect cultural heritage and personal experience.
