Vesna Dimitrievska Ristovska is a Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FINKI), Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. She earned her B.Sc. in Informatics in 1996, M.Sc. in Mathematics with a thesis on quantitative measures for uniform distribution of sequences in 2007, and Ph.D. in 2013 with a dissertation on quasi-Monte Carlo integration and diaphony. Her academic career began at the Institute of Informatics, PMF, where she held roles as associate (1996) and teaching assistant (1999), later advancing to her current position.
- Education:
- B.Sc. in Informatics, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, UKIM (1996)
- M.Sc. in Mathematics, University Neofit Rilski, Bulgaria (2007)
- Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, FINKI, UKIM (2013)
Her research focuses on computational mathematics, particularly quasi-Monte Carlo integration, weighted Hilbert spaces, and mathematical modeling. She has contributed to projects, published scientific papers, and presented at conferences in domestic and international venues.
Over her career, she has taught foundational courses in programming, numerical methods, calculus, databases, and operating systems. Her work bridges theoretical mathematics with practical software implementation, emphasizing algorithm optimization and mathematical analysis.
