Veronika Nemcova is a Researcher at Aalborg University's Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology within The Technical Faculty of IT and Design. Her work focuses on healthcare technology, cultural heritage preservation, and educational systems. She contributes to interdisciplinary projects like RES-Q+ (2022–2026) addressing stroke care quality and virtual assistant development. Her research explores stroke survivor self-management systems, caregiver support via virtual assistants, and digital preservation of traditional practices like South African beer brewing. Nemcova has also developed Moodle-based teaching resources using single-page applications.
Key projects include stroke-specific virtual assistant design, patient-reported outcomes via mobile apps, and an implementation research network in stroke care (IRENE, 2018–2023). Her publications span healthcare technology, VR applications in cultural heritage, and e-learning systems. She actively participates in conferences such as STROCZECH 2023, presenting on stroke rehabilitation innovations.
