Verena Stoeger serves as a Researcher at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) within the interdisciplinary Neuroscience and Smart Materials group, operating under the NSYN@UniGe research center—a dedicated collaboration between IIT and the University of Genoa (UniGe).
Her scientific focus bridges Neuroscience and Smart Materials, investigating neural mechanisms through advanced material engineering. This field integrates neurobiology, biomaterials science, and sensor development for applications in neural interfaces and brain-inspired computing.
The NSYN@UniGe center hosts a multidisciplinary team comprising affiliated researchers, postdoctoral fellows, PhD students, and technical staff specializing in neural recording, material synthesis, and device fabrication.
