Prof. Dr. Verena Hahn is a Professor of Economics at bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. She holds a Dr. rer. pol. from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, with a PhD specialization in Public Administration and Economic Policy. Her academic background includes a Master's in Law and Economics from Universities in Hamburg, Gent (Belgium), and Aix-en-Provence (France), and a Bachelor's in Economic Sciences from Universität Hohenheim.
Previously, she spent over a decade as an authorized officer in tax departments (specializing in transfer pricing) and worked in finance at a large international auditing and tax consultancy firm. Her research focuses on taxation, public policy, and financial systems, including a notable study on real estate sales via annuity-based models under the fib Research Institute.
Prof. Hahn is affiliated with the fib Research Institute, contributing to projects like ReTraNetz-BB. She teaches in the Economics and Business Management department and maintains active collaborations with institutions across Europe.
