Dr. Verda Munir is a Lecturer at the School of Computing, Engineering & Technology, Robert Gordon University. She is an active member of the Artificial Intelligence & Reasoning Research Group and Machine Vision Research Group. With a versatile background spanning computing, technical art, and game development, her work bridges technological innovation with creative applications.
Research Focus
Her interdisciplinary research explores:
- Immersive technologies (AR/VR) for serious applications
- 3D scanning and photogrammetry techniques
- Game development using Unity engine
- Mental health technology solutions
- Cinematic animation pipelines
- Integration of technical and artistic workflows
Teaching & Supervision
She teaches courses in immersive technology, game development, and programming. Currently advising PhD candidate Diana Hernandez Manzo (2023-2027) on a project combining immersive technology with sustainable fashion heritage preservation using AI-based conversational agents.
