Venki Ramakrishnan

Venki Ramakrishnan is a Professor at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (University of Cambridge), specializing in the structural biology of the ribosome, a critical macromolecular machine responsible for translating genetic information into proteins. His work has elucidated ribosomal structures at key stages of the translation pathway, including interactions with antibiotics, mRNA, and tRNA.
