Venise Bayer is a PhD Candidate and Researcher at the Department of Palaeontology, Institute of Geological Sciences, Freie Universität Berlin. Her work focuses on palaeoclimate reconstruction in Southern Africa, isotope geochemistry, and environmental archives. She holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Geographical Science and Environmental Research from the same university. Current research includes fieldwork in Lesotho and Botswana, emphasizing drone investigations and geomorphological surveys. Bayer is supported by a doctoral scholarship from Evangelisches Studienwerk e.V. Villigst since 2020.
