Velvet Nelson is a faculty member in the Department of Environmental and Geosciences at Sam Houston State University (SHSU), College of Science & Engineering Technology. She teaches undergraduate courses such as People, Place and Environment; World Regional Geography; Sustainable Development; Tourism Geography; and Regional Geography of the United States and Canada.
