Vassilis Papadakis

Vassilis Papadakis is an Assistant Professor at the University of West Attica, specializing in imaging and spectroscopic diagnostic techniques. With over 20 years of experience, he has held academic roles at the Technical University of Delft, Foundation for Research and Technology, University of Crete, and Hellenic Mediterranean University, focusing on optical imaging, computer vision, and material stress analysis.

• Education: PhD in spectral imaging of surfaces (Medical School, University of Crete); PhD in behavioral monitoring via Computer Vision (School of Science and Engineering, University of Crete).
• Research Interests: Development of in-vivo optical and spectroscopic imaging methods, including Raman and FTIR spectroscopy, fluorescence imaging, and interferometry. Analysis of material spectral characteristics, design of optoelectronic systems, and dynamic study of surfaces using non-destructive optical techniques.
