Dr. Vanja Petricevic is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science, Public Administration & History at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), located in Fort Myers, Florida. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Georgia State University, complemented by an M.A. and B.A. from Georgia State University and Agnes Scott College, respectively.
Her research focuses on International Relations, Comparative Politics, European Politics, and themes such as Politics of Extremism and Post-Conflict Peacebuilding. She authored the book *Compliance Patterns with EU Anti-Discrimination Legislation* (2015) and has held visiting researcher positions at institutions including the Center for European Policy Studies (Brussels), the European Parliament, and Linköping University (Sweden). Since 2017, she has been a Fellow at the Canadian Global Affairs Institute.
- Awards: Fulbright-Schuman Fellowship, Belgian American Educational Foundation Fellowship, Swedish Women's Educational Association Award, and others.
- Teaching & Experience: Previously taught at Georgia State University and the Georgia Institute of Technology. Courses include European Union Studies, International Organizations, and Theories of International Relations.
