Vanja Jurišić serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Sustainable Technologies and Renewable Energy Sources at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture, where she has advanced from Research and Teaching Assistant (2004) to her current position since 2021.
Her academic foundation includes:
- PhD (2004-2012) from University of Zagreb Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology
- Dipl. ing. (1998-2004) from University of Zagreb Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology
Her research pioneers agricultural biomass utilization for energy, focusing on Miscanthus cultivation, thermochemical conversion processes, and circular bioeconomy frameworks with rigorous carbon footprint assessment in biorefinery systems.
