Vangel Ajanovski is a Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FINKI), Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. He earned his Ph.D. in Informatics in 2013 with a dissertation on "Adaptive and social self-structuring navigational systems for public information systems," building on his earlier master's thesis on information portals. His career at the Institute of Informatics began in 2000 as a scientific collaborator, followed by teaching assistant roles from 2002–2007 and 2007 onward, contributing to course development and student services.
- Managed the Computing Center of the Institute of Informatics (2005–2009)
- Co-authored instructional materials for international projects
- Involved in 26 international projects (TEMPUS, DAAD, PHARE, FP6, FP7)
His research spans information systems, software engineering, and adaptive web technologies, with 16 publications and 30+ conference presentations. He pioneered Macedonia’s first student-focused internet access and web/email services in the 1990s.
