Vanessa Grunkemeyer

Vanessa Grunkemeyer is a Clinical Associate Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Agriculture, Nutrition, and Food Systems at the University of New Hampshire's College of Life Sciences and Agriculture. She directs the UNH Pre-Veterinary Advising Program. Expertise spans exotic animal medicine, avian surgery, zoonotic disease control, and small flock poultry health. Recognized with teaching and distinction awards (2020, 2024).

Research publications focus on diagnostic innovations for avian disorders (2013), public health dimensions of poultry management (2011), hepatic disease management protocols (2010), and exotic animal surgical techniques (2010). Clinical work addresses translational veterinary challenges across species.
