Vanchit John serves as Chairperson of the Department of Periodontology at the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IU Indianapolis) since 2007. A Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, he is a full-time professor with a focus on dental education and clinical practice.
- Joined IU faculty full-time in 1999
- Recipient of IU President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching (2024)
- Holds O’Leary-Hancock Endowed Professor title (2023)
