Valerie A. Sulfaro is a Professor of Political Science and Coordinator of the Political Communication Minor at James Madison University. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Southern Illinois University, where she was part of the national championship debate team, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of South Carolina. Prior to joining JMU in 1995, she lectured at California State University, Fresno.
