Valentino Vellone is an Associate Professor (Tenure Track) and Researcher in Maxillofacial Surgery at Link Campus University in Rome. He is also a former Medical Director (2020–2024) of the Maxillofacial Surgery Unit at S. Maria Hospital, Terni. His expertise spans clinical and academic roles, including Adjunct Professorships in Academic Masters and specialized programs. Dr. Vellone holds a Laurea in Medicine and Surgery from Sapienza University (110/110), a specialization in Maxillofacial Surgery (70/70 cum laude), and a PhD in Innovative Technologies of Diseases of the Skeleton, Heart, and Oro-Cranio-Facial District.
Research & Clinical Focus: His work emphasizes temporomandibular joint disorders, maxillofacial dento-skeletal malformations, and reconstructive surgery. He has authored/co-authored over 50 PubMed-indexed publications and contributed to key texts like Mediterranean Rhinoplasty (Springer, 2022) and Maxillary Sinus Elevation (Verduci, 2019). He serves on the editorial boards of the European Journal of Stomatology and BMC Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
