Valentina Sperotto

Valentina Sperotto is a Researcher at the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, serving as Project Manager for the PNRR THOR project The Habit Of Reading. She previously held a Research Grant at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University of Milan (2021-2024).

• Education: Master's Degree in Philosophy of Mind, Person, City, and History (Vita-Salute San Raffaele University of Milan, 2015); PhD in History of Philosophy (University of Trento, 2015), co-supervised by Université de Picardie Jules Verne (France).

Her research focuses on Enlightenment philosophy, particularly Denis Diderot, exploring skepticism, philosophical genres, literary forms, and the intersection of philosophy with theatre and art. She has published monographs on Diderot's skepticism and edited translations of his works, including Philosophical Works, Novels and Stories (Bompiani, 2019).
