Valentina ROBERTI

Valentina ROBERTI is a Research Fellow at the University of Catania, Department of Humanities. Her work focuses on the historical development of Earth sciences and color theory, particularly through the PRIN 2022 project Communicating and Representing the Earth, which examines volcanology's evolution as an experimental science in Italy (17th-19th century).

Her research spans interdisciplinary topics in the history of physics, mathematics, and scientific communication. Notable publications include analyses of Helmholtz, Schrödinger, and Maxwell's contributions to color theory and perceptual geometry. Recent work explores color mixing distinctions, historical experiments, and the interplay between scientific theories and visual representations.
