Dr. Valentina Piccoli is a fixed-term (Type A) researcher in Social Psychology at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Trieste. She is a member of the departmental board, study program boards, and research group focused on intergroup relations and social cognition under Prof. Andrea Carnaghi.
Research Interests include intergroup relations, dehumanization, objectification of women, and bullying/cyberbullying in adolescents. Her work bridges social cognition, intergroup conflict, and applied interventions. She investigates how language cues influence social perception, the cognitive basis of prejudice, and the neural correlates of social group processing.
