Vahid Seydi

Vahid Seydi is a Lecturer in Data Science at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), joining in June 2025. He previously held a Research Fellow position at Bangor University's School of Ocean Sciences (2020–2025) and served as Assistant Professor and Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence at Azad University (2014–2020) and Science and Research University, Tehran (2005–2014). His academic journey spans 20 years in Data Science and Machine Learning.

• Education: B.Sc. in Software Engineering (2005), M.Sc. (2007) and Ph.D. (2014) in Artificial Intelligence from Science and Research University, Tehran, Iran.

His research focuses on advanced methodologies including regression, classification, clustering, probabilistic graphical models, and optimization techniques, with expertise in deep learning, explainable AI, and generative models. His work applies to diverse data modalities like text, images, and acoustic signals.
