Vadim Olshevsky

Vadim Olshevsky is Professor of Mathematics at University of Connecticut, specializing in computational mathematics and structured matrix algorithms. His research bridges mathematics, electrical engineering, and computer science.

He holds MS/PhD degrees from Kishinev Institute and conducted postdoctoral research at Tel Aviv University and Stanford University. Industrial collaborations include Bell Labs where he co-developed patented technologies. He serves as associate editor for Linear Algebra and Its Applications and organizes international mathematics conferences.

His 2009-2010 UC3M research developed algorithms for structured matrices with applications in filtering, control systems, and orthogonal polynomials.
