Vadim Lyubashevsky is a researcher at Inria (French National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology) specializing in cryptographic systems. He received an ERC Starting Grant in 2014 and has been a member of the Cascade project team since that time, with continued involvement through at least 2019 as documented in the institutional records.
His research program focuses on developing next-generation cryptographic techniques that maintain security against increasingly powerful computational threats, including potential quantum computing attacks. Lyubashevsky's work addresses fundamental challenges in public-key cryptography, aiming to create systems that ensure both confidentiality and authenticity of digital communications even when faced with sophisticated adversaries.
This research sits at the critical intersection of theoretical computer science and practical security implementation, with direct implications for global digital infrastructure security as we transition toward post-quantum cryptographic standards.
