Uwe Thumm is a Professor at the Department of Physics, Kansas State University. With a Ph.D. from the University of Freiburg (1989), his research spans theoretical atomic, molecular, optical, and surface physics. He is renowned for predicting vibrational revivals in H2+ molecules, later confirmed experimentally, and developing quantum-beat imaging techniques for molecular dynamics.
