Utku S. Yavuz is an Assistant Professor at the University of Twente, affiliated with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science and the Department of Biomedical Signals and Systems. His research focuses on decoding the neural control of human movement, particularly the role of sensory-motor interaction in this system, using computational biomedical signal processing tools.
- Education: M.Sc. and PhD in Biophysics.
He previously led the Electromyography and Motor Control Laboratory at the Institute of Neurorehabilitation Systems, University Medical Center Göttingen, Germany, and has participated in several European research projects. His expertise spans Neuroscience, Motor Unit analysis, Reflex Medicine, and Muscle Organisations. He is associated with the TechMed Centre, focusing on interdisciplinary biomedical research.
