Usama Alshaibi

Usama Alshaibi is a Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Colorado State University. His creative research explores hybrid documentary forms and Arab-American identity.

Alshaibi founded the Through the Student Lens Film Festival and developed the 'Personal Lens' production curriculum. His films have been broadcast on PBS World Channel and Sundance Channel, examining themes of displacement and cultural hybridity.
