Urszula Srebrowska is a Doctoral Research Fellow in the PhD programme 'Digitalisation and Society' at the Faculty of Health, Welfare and Organisation, Oslo Metropolitan University. She holds a Master's degree in Scandinavian Studies from the University of Gdańsk, and Bachelor's degrees in Public Sector Interpreting (OsloMet) and Media Science (University of Bergen). She is a state-authorized interpreter and translator (Polish-Norwegian).
Research Interests: Her work focuses on interpreting and translation practices, professionalisation of interpreting, digitalisation impacts on society, welfare state dynamics, and equal public service provision. Key themes include interpreter education standards, multilingualism challenges in healthcare, and policy implementation in public sectors.
Publications: Srebrowska has published widely on interpreting challenges in legal and healthcare contexts, media history, and the evolving role of technology in public service communication. Recent works analyze Norwegian institutional practices and comparative studies of interpreter professions globally.
Affiliations: Member of the RIDE (Research in Digital Education) group. Research explores intersection of digitalisation with professional practices, particularly in interpreting and welfare systems.
