Dr Ursula Woolley is an HPL Lecturer at King's College London's Department of European & International Studies within the School of Politics & Economics. Her research focuses on the politics of Central and Eastern Europe, particularly Ukraine, with emphasis on discursive securitisation, historical politics, and democratic processes. Woolley holds a PhD from UCL (2024), an MRes from UCL (2018), and undergraduate degrees from Cambridge and Moscow universities.

Her work examines political agency in responses to Russian historical propaganda, epistemic imperialism, and the sacralization of history in Eastern Europe. Recent publications explore Ukraine's historical narratives on the Holodomor, Holocaust, and Orthodox Church autocephaly. Woolley has held roles at Pushkin House (2012–2016) and the Ukrainian Institute London (since 2022), alongside extensive local government experience in Islington (2006–2012).
Teaching includes courses on European public policy, post-Soviet politics, and interdisciplinary research methods. Office hours are Monday 13:00–14:00 and 16:00–17:00 in Bush House NE 7.22.
