Dr. Upendra Dev Acharya is Professor of Law and Norman & Rita Roberts Scholar at Gonzaga University School of Law. He holds an S.J.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and previously served as associate professor at Tribhuvan University (Nepal), where he litigated landmark cases including women's property rights and environmental protection legislation.
Research examines human rights frameworks, international legal systems, and humanitarian law. Global engagements include visiting professorships in Brazil, France, China, India, Italy, Lebanon, Philippines, and Mexico.
