Una MacGlone

Una MacGlone is a researcher, improviser, and music educator currently serving as a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Edinburgh. She investigates the processes and wellbeing impacts of creative community music workshops for young people with additional support needs.

Her research interests span improvisation, music pedagogy, music psychology, gender studies, creativity, and wellbeing. She is an active double bassist, founder member of the Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra, and has an international profile as an improvisation teacher.
